Description

Pinguicula zecheri 'Faulisi' is a perennial heterophyllous cultivar whose leaf edges can turn pink/purple under intense light. It also produces a large and beautiful hot pink flower. It was registered in 2022 by Howard Bramble, who received it as a gift from Phil Faulisi in July 2017. The story behind this plant is very remarkable; I was told by Phil Faulisi that this plant came from Ron Parsons, who got it from Alfred Lau. Phil took care of this butterwort for about 10 years and then, in 2017, decided to give it to Howard. If you ask me, I think Phil did an amazing job in keeping this plant alive for so long, and we thank him for that, otherwise this plant would have been lost forever. Special thanks to Howard Bramble for giving us one of his clones and for registering this amazing Ping.
