Description

Pinguicula "Snow Queen" is an in-house hybrid between P. moranensis var. caudata and P. spec. Guatemala, it was given its name for its variegation trait around its leaves. The mother plant has been with us for a few years and the variegation trait is stable after 4 years.

Please note that propagation by leaf pulling will not result in a variegated plant, only by plant division. Another important aspect to keep in mind is that this plant does NOT like strong lights due to its variegated nature. Variegated plants lack chlorophyll on the white section of their leaves and exposing this butterwort to intense light will cause the variegated part to bleach. The good news is that it can be reversed. Just set the plant in a place with indirect light, and it will return to its original variegated form after some time.

The plants on the pictures are representative, you will get a similar plant. [Plants are not flowering at the moment]

You'll get a similar plant to the ones in the pictures. Please note that some plants are greener than others but will  have some variegation around its leaves.

The plants are shipped bare root in a plastic container to protect the plants. We ship the plants on Monday and Wednesday to avoid the weekend cut off.

Small plants are about 0.5" in diameter.

Medium plants are about 1" in diameter.

Large plants are about 2" in diameter, sometimes larger.

The plant has been growing under LED lights with a temperature of 75~80° during the day and 55~70° at night.
