Description
Pinguicula moctezumae is a perennial heterophyllous species that owes its name to Río Moctezumae, an important river in Sierra Madre Oriental. Pinguicula moctezumae is only found in a small sub-canyon of the Moctezuma river, clinging to vertical limestone walls, and it was discovered during the environmental impact assessment of the Zimapan Hydroelectric Dam.
