Description

Pinguicula esseriana {El Cielo Mtns, Tamaulipas, México} is a small but beautiful butterwort and a must have in any collection. The flower is whitish with a orchid-purple color in the center.

You'll get a similar plant to the one in the picture. Please note that some plants are greener than others but will turn pinkish/red under intense lights.

The plants are shipped bare root in a plastic container to protect the plants. We ship the plants on Monday and Wednesday to avoid the weekend cut off.

Feed every 2–3 weeks if not catching bugs:

• Fish food flakes
• Schultz cactus fertilizer (follow bottle directions)

Keep soil lightly moist — avoid overwatering or soggy conditions.
💦 Humidity
Prefers moderate humidity (50–80%), but adapts well indoors.
🌡️ Temperature
Thrives between 55–85°F
📏 Mature Size
Grows up to 1-1.5" across with proper care
🌙 Dormancy
No true dormancy. May enter a succulent phase during winter depending on temperatures — this is completely normal!
