Bladderworts (Utricularia) Care
Type of Plant: Tropical plant for indoor growing.
Sunlight: Bright indirect light. A south window with several hours of direct sunlight is ideal. Artificial grow light can be used to supplement natural light.
Water: Use mineral-free water or water low in minerals (less than 50 parts per million). Keep the soil wet by setting the plant in a dish of standing water.
Soil: Sphagnum moss or peat moss and perlite.
Temperatures: 55-85Β° can tolerateΒ cool temperatures, but protect from frost.
Fertilizer: For Utricularia (longifolia, alpina, reniformis) no feeding/fertilizing is necessary since they feed with microfauna. For U. sandersonii/bisquamata /livida/fulva/dichotoma is the same process but if you want to feed them you can use Maxsea (follow package directions).
