Description

Pinguicula parvifolia is a perennial heterophyllous rosetted herb with long, slender roots. This species produces two different types of leaves, winter bulb of succulent leaves during winter and glandular carnivorous leaves during summer. Pinguicula parvifolia is a mountain-dwelling species that experiences a cool, moist, temperate climate and was discovered in 1893. The epithet, parvifolia, is dericed from the Latin parvus (small) and folium (leaf).

The plants are shipped bare root in a plastic container to protect the plants. We ship the plants on Monday and Wednesday to avoid the weekend cut off.

Plant's size: When the plant is in succulents phase, it becomes a bulb of about 0.20-0.25" in diameter. Please note that some plants may be in bulb stage at the time of ordering. If plant is in its carnivorous phase it should be around 0.75-1" in diameter.
