Instead of forming normal Venus flytrap traps, both sides of the trap curve strongly backward and press against each other. This creates the rounded shape that inspired its funny and memorable name.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBecause the traps are extremely deformed, they are \u003cstrong\u003enon-functional and cannot close or catch insects\u003c\/strong\u003e. For this reason, we recommend \u003cstrong\u003efoliar feeding\u003c\/strong\u003e to provide the plant with additional nutrients it would normally receive from captured insects.
